Do I need a Referral?
How Long is an Appointment?
Appointments are generally 50-60 minutes in duration. A courtesy SMS reminder is usually sent to your mobile phone the day before your appointment. If you are unable to attend, please provide 24 hours notice to avoid a cancellation fee.
How confidential is the appointment?
The information that you share is confidential, except:
- If the psychologist considers that an adult or child (including yourself) is at risk of serious harm.
- If the information is subpoenaed by a court.
- If a client agrees, verbally or in writing, to share information with a third party such as a GP or a relative.

What are the fees?
The normal fee for a 50-60 minute session is $195.00 and is payable at each session. Eftpos/credit card facilities are available for your convenience.
This fee is based on the annual Medicare review of fees and the Australian Psychological Society’s recommended fee of $235.00 per session. If you are referred by your GP and have a MHCP, the Medicare rebate is $126.50 and the gap is $68.50.
If you have a MHCP and private health insurance, you can only claim from either Medicare or your private health fund, but not from both.
Alternatively, if you are a private client with private health insurance, you can check with your specific health fund as to what amount you may be able to claim. Fees are reviewed at least annually, usually in November.
